Final Panels Going Up at Malvern Collective

Final Panels Going Up at Malvern Collective

June 5, 2025

Malvern Collective is a landmark mixed-use development situated at the intersection of Glenferrie and Dandenong Roads in Malvern, Melbourne. Developed by Kokoda Property and designed by Jackson Clements Burrows Architects, with interiors by Carr, the project comprises two architecturally distinct towers — one 17 storeys and the other 11 storeys — housing over 200 luxury apartments. The development seamlessly integrates heritage elements, such as the restored Angel Tavern, with modern amenities including a rooftop infinity pool, private cinema, wellness centre, and a vibrant retail and dining precinct at ground level.

Our team was engaged by Crema, the builder, to supply and install aluminium cassette cladding across both towers, encompassing over 800sqm. The project presented unique challenges due to tight site access and the complexity of working on angled facades at varying degrees: 15°, 26°, and 45°, from the rooflines down to the planter boxes. Despite these constraints, we executed the installation with precision and efficiency, adhering to the highest safety standards throughout the process.

To provide deeper insight into the intricacies of this project, our Head of Projects, Callum Nott, offers a detailed walkthrough of how the cladding elements came together to enhance the architectural vision of Malvern Collective. Watch the video below to learn more.
