About the 2025 Master Builders Victoria Awards
The MBV Excellence in Construction Awards are the pinnacle of recognition in Victoria’s commercial, industrial, and civil construction world. These awards highlight projects that stand out for craftsmanship, innovation, and quality in delivery. The winners were celebrated at a special gala event in August at the Palladium, Crown – a night that blended celebration, networking, and well-deserved recognition for builders who go above and beyond!
Let’s Take a Deeper Look at How We Contributed
We’ve always believed that teamwork makes the dream work. None of these projects would have been possible without the builders leading the way, bringing incredible vision and skill, and keeping communication flowing across every trade on site. In the middle of all that collaboration, we played a significant role as cladding experts, making sure the finishes looked sharp, the details were precise, and the designs came to life just as intended. Let’s take a look together at how we contributed to these award-winning builds.

Hacer Group – HOME Docklands
Designed by Cox Architecture, HOME Docklands comprises two sleek residential towers (30 and 31 storeys), home to 676 apartments and around 1,300 residents. The building boasts resort-style amenities: a 25-metre pool, gym, infrared sauna, co-working hub, and vibrant retail at street level. It’s basically urban living at a luxury resort pace.
We absolutely loved being part of this project and were delighted to deliver:
-
Custom light-gauge steel framing (fabricated in-house) for the brick snap facade
-
3 mm solid aluminium cladding (charcoal matt powdercoat) on the main entrance soffits to match the facade
-
3 mm perforated aluminium cladding in matt champagne kinetic powdercoat on the east facade for that luxe, shimmering finish

Built Environs – Narre Warren Station
Narre Warren Station got a major upgrade as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. The old Webb Street crossing is gone, replaced by elevated rail, and a modern station opens to passengers in March 2024.
The new Narre Warren Station includes:
-
Two elevated platforms with stairs and lifts
-
An air-conditioned waiting room, ticket office, and kiosk
-
Secure bike storage, landscaped forecourt with paths and seating
-
Pick-up/drop-off area, taxi zone, upgraded car parking (512+ spaces), and improved connections to Narre Warren Village.
For this project we supplied and installed more than 4,500sqm of cladding across the station interiors, lift shafts, staircases, columns and concourse soffits. A key feature was the 1,500sqm of custom perforated and solid aluminium panels in Anodised Reef Blue and Pacific Blue matt finishes, which gave the stair areas a striking visual identity.
We also installed around 1,800sqm of 4mm solid aluminium cassette panels across the stair columns, walls and soffits, while the lift shafts were finished with 800sqm of solid aluminium panels in Anodic Slate Grey matt. To complete the structure, a further 1,200sqm of Mondoclad panels were used for the ceilings above the stairs, bulkheads and concourse soffits, tying everything together with a consistent and polished look.

Jardon Group – 9 Yarra Street, South Yarra
Ever wondered what’s involved in building on top of a high-rise without disrupting the people inside? Jardon Group stepped up to exactly that challenge at 9 Yarra Street: a live, fully tenanted, 15-storey office building in the heart of South Yarra. This wasn’t just any extension: they used a steel-framed structure with lightweight Hebel flooring, chosen specifically to cut down cement use and curb environmental impact. You can’t help but appreciate the seamless blend of design and sustainability here.
Now, here’s what we brought to the table on that project. We fabricated and installed 34x pre-clad modular Mondoclad 3mm panels and 5x pre-clad modular 3mm louvre panels. Each one finished beautifully, lifted into place by crane for perfect precision. Inside, we created a sleek vibe in the lobby by installing over 50 sqm of 25 × 25mm aluminium battens with black acoustic backing, all powder-coated in Dulux Duralloy Black Satin.

Congratulations to All the Winners and Here’s to What’s Next
It’s truly uplifting to come together and celebrate fellow builders who’ve worked tirelessly to bring bold visions to life and create spaces that are both timeless and full of character. Hats off to Hacer Group, Built Environs, and Jardon Group for leading the way with projects that uplift Melbourne’s skyline and community spirit.Working with them felt less like construction and more like creative teamwork. Problem-solving when it counted, keeping the energy high, and staying enthusiastic through every challenge. Seeing these buildings go from drawing boards to real-life landmarks, and now taking centre stage at the awards, still makes us smile.
Here’s to even more inspired collaborations, more stunning builds on the horizon, and more opportunities to create great things together!
