Stunning Red Aluminium Panels for Bridgestone at Port of Brisbane

Stunning Red Aluminium Panels for Bridgestone at Port of Brisbane

August 27, 2025

Project Completion: Bridgestone, Port of Brisbane

If you’ve driven past the Port of Brisbane lately, you might have noticed something new. It’s not just another warehouse, it’s Bridgestone Australia’s bold new distribution centre, their largest in the country, and it’s setting new benchmarks in logistics, sustainability, and design. And here’s the part that excites us the most: we’re proud to be part of it, installing over 500sqm of striking 3mm MondoClad panels in Pure White and Pure Red that make this facility truly stand out.

A Game-Changer for Queensland Logistics

This state-of-the-art facility, delivered by McNab in partnership with Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd, sits on a 5.16-hectare site in the Port West Industrial Estate at Lytton. Inside you’ll find a 23,340sqm warehouse, dock office, and expansive hardstand areas that together nearly double Bridgestone’s existing Queensland capacity. But it’s not just about size. The design streamlines wharf-to-warehouse logistics, boosting efficiency across their retail and wholesale network while enhancing safety and workflow with dedicated operational zones, telescopic conveyors, and future-ready plans for automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

Where We Come In: Aluminium Cladding

While Bridgestone focused on capacity and logistics, and McNab led the delivery of the facility, our team at Custom Clad made sure the building doesn’t just work hard, it looks spectacular too. We delivered over 500sqm of 3mm MondoClad aluminium cladding in Pure White and Pure Red. Mounted on top hats and subframes, the panels are carefully aligned with barge purlins and steel struts. The standout feature? The precise soffit alignment that ensures a smooth, seamless return of the cladding fascia right to the tip of the nib wall. It’s the kind of detail that makes all the difference, turning functional cladding into a bold architectural statement.

Why This Matters For Bridgestone

This distribution centre isn’t just a warehouse, it represents:

  • A milestone for Bridgestone: their largest facility in Australia, accounting for around 25% of their national storage.
  • A benchmark in sustainability: showing how industrial builds can balance scale with environmental responsibility.
  • A showcase of design excellence: proving that logistics hubs can be practical and visually striking at the same time.

And with those bright red aluminium panels catching the eye, it’s safe to say Bridgestone’s new hub is as memorable on the outside as it is innovative on the inside.

More To Come In Queensland

For us at Custom Clad, this project also marks something bigger: our expansion from Victoria into Queensland. Being part of Bridgestone’s new distribution centre highlights how we’re carrying the precision and craftsmanship that built our reputation in Victoria into new regions, and strengthening our capability to support major projects across both states with the same level of reliability our clients expect.
