Scope

As part of our ongoing collaboration with John Holland at Chadstone’s Market Pavilion, we were also engaged to deliver cladding works for One Middle Road - a newly built, A-grade commercial office tower within the same precinct. Our scope extended across several key areas of the development, including the multicategory building entrance, the north entrance, the Carpark C office entry, and the meeting room pod on the same level.

One of the standout elements of the project is the trio of large architectural canopies at the main entrance of the multicategory building. These canopies were designed with complex geometry and fully modelled in 3D, allowing for accurate fabrication and installation. We supplied and installed over 500sqm of 3mm solid aluminium cassette panels for these canopies, all rolled and welded in-house. The panels were finished in a mix of Dulux Duratec Black Ace, Dulux Duratec Surfmist, and fluoropolymer coatings, resulting in a sharp, high-end aesthetic that complements the building’s contemporary facade.

Beneath one of the main canopies, we also fabricated and installed several custom booster cupboard doors, showcasing our capabilities in detailed architectural carpentry.

At the north entrance, we completed the soffit linings using AlFacade Sand Cream panels, delivering a clean and cohesive finish that contrasts beautifully with the bold canopy tones. The transition between cladding and soffit was carefully detailed to ensure visual continuity and durability across the exposed elements.

Further along the site, we were engaged to deliver the Carpark C office entry, which featured one of the more complex challenges of the build. Here, we supplied and installed over 200sqm of 5mm solid aluminium cassette panels in Interpron Silver Riche, applied across both the external canopy and the blade walls. This area required precise fabrication to bring the architect’s three-dimensional “M” profile to life - a striking geometric feature that demanded both skill and attention to detail during fabrication and installation.

On the same floor, we also completed the cladding of the meeting room pod canopy, installing over 100sqm of 3mm solid aluminium panels in Dulux Duratec Surfmist. These panels were likewise rolled and welded, forming clean curves that align with the structure’s fluid form.

Working with John Holland required strict adherence to site procedures, design intent, and project timelines. By coordinating closely with the construction team and other subcontractors, we were able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship throughout. One Middle Road demonstrates our ability to deliver technically demanding facade work across diverse zones within a single development.
