Safety Learning Environment with Incombustible Cladding
RMIT University, located in the heart of Melbourne, is renowned for its architecture and innovative learning environments. The campus features a mix of historic and contemporary buildings, each designed to foster creativity and collaboration. Our work ensures these iconic buildings meet the highest safety standards while maintaining their architectural integrity.
The objective for RMIT cladding was to replace the existing non-compliant cladding with a new system that met modern safety standards while preserving the building’s original appearance. This involved over 1,500sqm of cladding, replacing various combustible materials, such as EPS wall panels, with new solid aluminium panels.
Operating in the bustling heart of Melbourne CBD, the project required a full-scale gantry on Swanston Street. This setup involved Mask Climber, Swing Stage, Booms, and Rope Access Works, showcasing our team’s adaptability in navigating the complexities of an urban environment.
