Westfield Knox completed a $355 million redevelopment in 2023. The transformation introduced a gourmet marketplace featuring
ALDI and Woolworths, an international mini major precinct housing Uniqlo and JD Sports, and an expanded fashion retail offering. Additional facilities now include a full-sized basketball court, a swim school, and community spaces.
This project featured a diverse range of cladding solutions for the shopping centre’s exterior, incorporating aluminium panels, timberlook aluminium battens, and Equitone cladding to achieve a modern and durable facade.
Above the truck loading zone and entrance, over 800sqm of 3mm powder-coated aluminium panels were installed, supported by lightweight frames to ensure structural integrity while maintaining a sleek appearance.
The installation also included 500sqm of click-on timber-look aluminium battens in three different sizes: 50x50mm, 150x50mm, and 250x50mm, spaced at 100mm centres. These battens extend from the entrance to the truck loading zone, adding warmth and texture to the design.
Additionally, more than 1,300sqm of Equitone cladding was applied next to the main entrance and on the rear corners of the building. This material enhances the architectural character of the centre, complementing the other cladding elements with its durability and refined finish.
